When I’m at the beach I like to keep my beauty routine simple. I always carry-on so there’s not a lot of room for products either. Instead of lugging a blow dryer, I use Kevin Murphy’s hair resort spray on towel dried hair to create beach waves. Just scrunch in and go! Elnett hairspray has been a cult favorite for years. I actually prefer the travel size for regular use because the nozzle doesn’t get clogged as quickly. I buy them in this convenient three pack.
Sunscreen is obviously the most important factor at the beach. My friend Kathleen of BeautyNow introduced me to elta MD and the importance of zinc oxide (read this post!). I recently was treated to a hot stone massage at Adara Medical Spa and they kindly sent me home with tons of elta MD samples perfect for travel. I always toss Peter Thomas Roth’s mineral powder sunscreen in my beach bag for touch ups (it also contains zinc oxide and available for for oily skin too).
Did you know Sephora carries Yves Saint Laurent? I was thrilled at this recent discovery and purchased my first YSL lipstick! I picked up No. 5 a punchy fuschia. Of course, I packed it all in my trusty TSA-approved Truffle clarity pouches. What are your favorite beauty products for the beach?
